On 10 April 2023, in Parliament of the Republic of Moldova the first activity of the project "Women - leaders of today. Tomorrow's Peace", implemented by AO “Help” in partnership with Inovatrium.
The event was attended by 60 people, including representatives of central and local public authorities, civil society from Chisinau, Gagauzia and the left bank of the Dniester River, and refugee women. Women from Ukraine had the opportunity to make their voices heard, tell their stories and ask questions.
The main topics discussed were:
- Socio-economic integration opportunities for refugee women and host communities
- The profile of refugee women and the involvement of decision-makers in supporting them
- Economic Empowerment of Refugee Women through the Creation and Development of Small and Medium Enterprises
- The role of central and local authorities and civil society in managing the refugee crisis and developing information campaigns
- Innovative solutions - the first integrated online service platform for refugee women
Next up are online and offline campaigns, leadership programmes, trainings and many activities aimed at developing entrepreneurial skills for women and young women.
This project is implemented by A.O ''Help'' from the Republic of Moldova in partnership with INOVATRIUM Association from Romania, with the support of UN Women, and financed by the Women's Fund for Peace and Humanitarian Assistance.
