Women encourage not to remain silent

The Public Association "Help", headed by its founder Viorica Țîmbalari, was an integral part of the "Conference for preventing and combating violence against women and girls and domestic violence", held on 25-26 October 2023 in Chisinau, organized by the National Coalition "Life without Violence".

Viorica Țîmbalari moderated Panel IV of the Conference, entitled "The shame and fear of adults to do sex education for children and young people".

This panel was graced by the presence of distinguished speakers, activists and personalities involved in combating violence and promoting sexuality education for young people. Speakers included Natalia Graur, Iulia Uzun, Sofia Grîu, Alina Andronache and Dan Perciun, Minister of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova.

Together we explored the link between sex education and violence against women, young people's sexual and reproductive health, and how reproductive sex education can contribute to a safer and healthier society.

After the panel discussions, we once again stressed the importance of solidarity and collaboration between: society, donors and development partners in initiating a meaningful process to bring about genuine change. This is a crucial step in our mission to build a safer and more equitable society for women.

The "Help" NGO is a dedicated member of the National Coalition "Life without Violence" and is firmly committed to contributing to the eradication of violence against women, a serious public health problem in our country. With united efforts and active involvement, we are determined to bring about change and create a society where there is equality between women and men, where women live in safety and with dignity.
