120 women participated on June 7 in the event to summarize the results and successes of the "Women-leaders of today, peace of tomorrow" project.
At the opening of the event, Svetlana Andries, deputy country representative of UN Women Moldova, reported the importance of mobilizing resources and collaboration: "We are very grateful that we managed to mobilize the resources of the Humanitarian Action Fund for Women and Peace, thanks to which we worked together with the organization Help and Innovatru to develop leadership and economic skills, building a sustainable platform. A platform stays alive if we all contribute to it.”
Marina Morozova, MP, member of the Social Protection, Health and Family Commission of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, spoke about the courage and determination of the women beneficiaries of the project: "I met a lot of determined women who want to change something in their lives. Every decision we make is about financial independence and must be supported by those close to us."
Viorica Șimbalari, the general director of the National Agency for the Prevention and Combating of Violence Against Women and Family Violence, emphasized the belief in one's own ideas: "I always recommend everyone to believe in your ideas. Nothing in this life can be achieved alone. Everything is done with and for people, and their gratitude means a lot.”
Sile Moldovan, president of the Inovatrium Romania association, highlighted the success of the entrepreneurship program and the importance of supporting female entrepreneurship.
Diana Cibotari, the executive director of AO Help, presented the purpose and achievements of the project, highlighting the efforts made to empower refugee women economically, socially and politically.
The project was focused on 3 regions of the Republic of Moldova: the Center area (Chisinau), the North area (left of the Dniester) and the South (UTA Gagauzia). It included: 3 round tables in various localities, 3 information campaigns that reached over 5,500 people, 61 participants in 3 entrepreneurship courses, 65 women trained in 3 leadership courses, 300 people involved in 16 community actions, 5 women won a grant of 3000 dollars each for launching their own business, creating the online platform www.avahelp.md , which provided support and useful resources to women from the Republic of Moldova and refugees from Ukraine, with over 12,000 visitors.

The event continued with interactive discussions between the beneficiaries of the project, including the 5 grant winners and the women who participated in the leadership courses, subsequently, 5 creative workshops were organized, which gave the participants the opportunity to explore various forms of artistic expression and personal reflection. Activities included art therapy, painting, floristry, string art and candle making.
Thanks to UN Women Moldova and Women's Peace & Humanitarian Fund for supporting and financing this project, which brought significant changes in society. This project has contributed remarkably to the empowerment and development of refugee women by providing them with essential resources and opportunities for personal and professional growth. Through its innovative and collaborative initiatives, the project has had a positive impact, promoting gender equality and stimulating the active involvement of women in their communities. The resulting transformations have been extremely valuable, strengthening communities and inspiring a more equitable and prosperous future for all.
The project "Today's women leaders - tomorrow's peace" was implemented by AO "Help" from the Republic of Moldova in partnership with the Inovatrium Association from Romania, with the support of UN Women Moldova and financed by the Women's Peace & Humanitarian Fund.
