Women must have more confidence in their own strength and understand that they have enormous potential for development, and a number of organizations in our country can help them when they are at a standstill or need support. During the years of activity, the Public Association "Help" has helped many women to improve their economic situation, integrate into the community, learn a new profession or become financially independent. One of them is Diana Cebotari.
Diana Cebotari is 31 years old, she is a mother of three children and she turned to the "Help" Public Association during a crucial period in her life. The desire to get out of an abusive relationship and become independent motivated her to seek help. Diana was determined to protect her children and provide them with a safer and healthier environment in which to grow and develop. Realizing the negative impact a toxic relationship has on the entire family was a powerful catalyst for her decision.
“I realized that in order to be able to give my children a better future, I must first build my own path to independence and stability. Here we benefited from all the support, so that the children could continue to attend kindergarten and school, we were given supplies and everything needed for studies. Since I am in the process of divorce, I also benefit from free legal support, so I am sure that I am protected and my rights are respected", says Diana.
He got a new profession for free
And to start on the path to financial independence, Diana attended cooking classes. Within them, he learned modern culinary techniques and became familiar with the professional standards in the field of gastronomy. Now, she is ready to embrace a new profession in practice.
"The support of the organization adjusted me a lot. I was desperate, not confident in my own strength and sure that I would not be able to take care of my family alone, but here I found the support that gave me wings and prepared me for change. If women in the regions were better informed and prepared to understand that this path of transformation is not on their own, I think many would have the courage to assert themselves and set limits when they are wronged."
It's important to ask for help
Now Diana has reintegrated into the community she belongs to, spending time with her children and getting ready to put into practice all the knowledge she gained from her cooking classes. She also has advice for women whose fears and self-doubt keep them from moving forward:
"I feel like a strong woman, confident in my own strength, because when I felt I couldn't handle it, I called for help. Here I felt that I was appreciated and worthy of being happy! Believe in yourself, but don't hesitate to ask for support if you feel stuck!"
Within the programs developed by the "Help" Public Association, both women from the Republic of Moldova and refugee women from Ukraine have the opportunity to develop their skills and competencies, to participate in courses and trainings, but also to strengthen their relationships for a better future.
