The provisional crisis management center in Palanca has ended its activity from January 4, 2024, as a result of the Decision taken after the expiration of the state of emergency in the Republic of Moldova.
The center started its activity on February 24, 2022, and during its operation, 9258 refugees from Ukraine passed through it, 6229 people were accommodated. The functionality and security of the camp was ensured by the General Inspectorate for Migration, the General Inspectorate of Carabinieri, but also the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.
This center had the capacity to provide 500 people absolutely autonomous and functional. From the first days after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, the refugees got help. Here people benefited from accommodation, food, medical assistance and were assisted in the process of accommodation in the Republic of Moldova.
