On 13-15 October 2023, the "Help" Public Association organized the third Women's Leadership course, with Angela Nicolau and Eugenia Iurco as experts. The event was attended by 22 women from the south of Moldova, including representatives of UTA Gagauzia and refugee women.
The course aimed to create new experiences for the participants. They were given all the necessary tools to face the challenges of crisis and stress in both their personal and professional lives, as well as resources to contribute to the implementation of social projects at local level.
The course covered various aspects, including information on developing female leadership principles and values, building relationships and support networks, and the importance of personal brand development for social recognition and career advancement.
"I had the opportunity to attend one of the events organized by A.O. "Help". The knowledge I gained there helped me to become more self-confident and to pass on the information to the local people and also to the Ukrainians in the region," admitted Victoria, a refugee from the town of Dnipro, one of the participants.
Tecel Dilara, another young woman from Gagauzia said that although - "conflicts cannot be avoided now, we can learn to treat them correctly and prevent them."

According to the organizers, "the third leadership session took place in Gagauzia. The session was attended by women from the host community, as well as women from the southern part of Moldova and of course refugee women. Absolutely all of them are eager for new knowledge and I noticed a willingness to communicate with each other. A beautiful symbiosis of three cultures - Moldovan, Gagauz and Ukrainian - has been created," said Diana Cibotaru, project assistant.
Vera Garciu, Southern Regional Co-ordinator - "...in today's unstable times women need to be independent and strong. At the Leaderschip course, women learn how to become leaders, how to gain confidence in themselves and in tomorrow".
At the end of the course, the participants received participation diplomas in recognition of their efforts and dedication, which were awarded by Ana Statova, a businesswoman and local personality from the Gagauz region.

The Feminine Leadership course is a project implemented by AO "Help" from the Republic of Moldova in partnership with the Inovatrium Association from Romania, with the support of UN Women Moldova and financed by the Women's Fund for Peace and Humanitarian Assistance, the Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund.
