Good things are made through collaboration!
On March 29, 2024, a remarkable community action was organized at the support center for girls and women ,Casa păcii", initiated by Oxana Scutelnic, participant of the leadership course within the project ,,Women Leaders Today, Peace Tomorrow". Thanks to the collaboration between AO “Help” and Police Women's Association, this community action was made possible and was dedicated to the women employees of the MAI, women who make an essential contribution to ensuring peace and security in our community.
The first session focused on encouraging women's participation in processes to promote a culture of security at institutional, local and national levels. Mariana Carabonova, an active promoter of gender equality, spoke to participants about inspiring female leadership.
The second part of the event focused on measures to prevent and combat gender-based discrimination and harassment. In this context, Oxana Scutelnic presented the terminology of equality standards, discussed stereotypes, stigmas and ways to combat them.
Afterwards, the participants also got involved in a relaxation session through meditation in nature, initiated by our activist and colleague Elena Bujac. We are convinced that the participants in this community action were motivated to share the information they gained with other women, thus contributing to building a united, equal and supportive community of women.
